Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your use of the Rast Education mobile applications and web portal (the "Service") provided by Duhok British International School ("the School", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Accounts

• Accounts are issued by the School to parents/guardians, students and staff. You may not create an account yourself.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
• Sign-in may be restricted to devices approved by the School. Notify the School promptly of any unauthorised use.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

• Post or send content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or harmful — especially towards students;
• Attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours, or probe, scan or test the security of the Service;
• Upload malware, or files whose type or content is disguised;
• Disrupt the Service or use it to infringe others' rights or privacy.

3. Communications and content

Messages, voice notes, attachments and class-feed posts are intended for school-related communication. The School may moderate, retain, or remove content and may act on reports of inappropriate content in line with its safeguarding duties. Do not share other people's personal information without authority.

4. Fees and payments

Where the Service displays fees, invoices or payment information, it is provided for your convenience. The School's official fee terms and any payment obligations are governed by the School's separate fee agreement. Figures shown in the app may be subject to verification by the school finance office.

5. Location and transport features

Live bus tracking and driver location features operate only during active bus runs and are provided to support student safety. Availability depends on device permissions, connectivity and GPS accuracy, and is provided on a best-effort basis.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may suspend or update the Service for maintenance, security or improvements.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its software and the School's branding are owned by the School or its licensors and are protected by law. You are granted a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose while you hold a valid account.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Child Safety Policy.

9. Termination

The School may suspend or close accounts (for example, when a student leaves the School or these Terms are breached). You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion as described in Data Deletion & Your Rights.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is". The School is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
